And I gotta say, David, I really feel like the last two movies have just been getting us ready. It's been they've been training us for Chapter four. I think you are correct with that, because this one was crazy. When it comes to the action sequences and filmed for here while non stop action non stop, I mean we're taking short, short, short breaths right, catching our breath before we are we are just thrown and I mean literally thrown into another epic moment. An action sequence where it's just it's off the wall. It's just it's balls to the wall excitement every turn in John Wick chapter four. Yeah, it's it's non stop. You're right, man, we got to talk about some of our some of the main players here. So Keanu Reeves aka America's Treasure aka nicest guy in America, guy, the coolest guy in America. He's back as John Wick, and he has not skipped a beat. Man he I mean, this is the fourth one and he's just not slowing down. No,

2:29 not at all. Takes takes a beating and keeps on taking man. Yeah, he absolutely does. We do know. Uh chat Stahelski did mention recently. If you're wondering about the timeline, how long does does this movie take? Like, you know, where are we at in the in the in John's life, basically, chapters one through three take it's like a week and a half basically. Uh, and then at the you know, between three and four, it's been about six months. So we're we're giving we're giving John a bit of a chance to rest up before he gets, you know, thrown into you know, these incredible moments. He needed it, he did, he did. But no, Keano is just NonStop. He's he's he's fantastic in this, uh returning once again. We got Laurence Fishburne as the Bowery King, you got, you got Ian McShane as Winston.

3:22 Who is you know, just amazing, always amazing. Yeah, and I hate to say, uh the late Lance Reddick as uh Sear that that was tough. I'll tell you just to see him on screen and knowing it was tough, it was it was, But uh tell you what's not tough as Winston Winston. I'll tell you what's not tough seeing is Winston. Uh. Ian McShane is really developing this character. And again this is a this is a quick spoiler free review, so we won't say a whole lot, but we will I will say this. I feel like this is like his best moment, like his best performance as character. We've given him a lot in this movie, and UH love Ian McShane. He's got some really good lines in this that have a lot of deep meaning throughout this movie. Yeah.

4:09 Well, you know, speaking of deep meaning, I love the fact that, uh that John Wick sums up the whole his whole purpose, uh, his whole purpose, why he's he's on this quest why he's he's doing what he's doing. Uh, And Dave, do you know what I'm talking about? He sums up everything with two words, and you know, I don't almost say anything else because you know the scene I'm talking about. But when when that happened, I was like, you know what, this is why we're here, This is why John wick is just keeps pushing and just won't stop. So I love that about it. Newcomers, you got Clancy Brown as the Harbinger, who was one of the coolest characters in this uh this world as it were, Bill scars Guard as the Marquee, the new bad guy that the heavy right, who always plays a great bad guy, always plays a great bad guy. H Donnie Yen as Kane, another a fellow assassin who is spectacular in the movie Donnie's Fantastic. We cannot get enough Donnie in this movie Noway, every time he wasn't on screen, I was like, where's Donniean, what's exactly when are we gonna get more of him?

5:15 And I have talked about this guy several times on a Film by podcast. Um here are Yoki Sonata? Isn't this plan in Shimazu? Damn this guy's awesome. You just love watching him on screen because he's just so smooth in his performance. I watching him. Yeah, Hollywood, please more. How are Yuki Sonata? Please? Please please? Uh and please let's talk about this film. Let's let's you know, you what do you want to start? You want to talk about the uh the epic action sequences? Where do you begin with this movie? I mean the action sequences are crazy good. Um, you know. I mean there's one scene that I think when a little too long, but other than that, I mean it is over the hop action uh choreographed extremely well. And the stunt work in this wow, I know the scene you're talking about as far as going on, And it's not that it's it's by no means is it boring. It's just it exhausts you. You're worn out. Yeah, um, but I gotta talk like, you know, the the stunts. You know, when you have a director that was a stunt man, uh grow you know coming through Hollywood, you know that his his stunt sequences are going to be top notch, right they have to be, Yeah, they have to be. But also the picture, you know, the film itself just has to be top notch to match that I think Dan lost in his cinematography on this absolutely gorgeous it is.

6:41 I mean I love the lighting and in the coloring that they did with the film in this. I loved it. His palate of color, Dave yes. If you know, it's not ruining anything. It's a lot of the sun. If you notice that a lot of sun rays and like that, the sun rising, sunsetting everything. I love that it was so well done. Yeah, his natural lighting is fantastic. But also in the in the CD underworld where we're in these clubs and uh, all the neon, it's just you're in there's moments where you're just bathed in in this rich neon color. Uh. That makes the secret the fight sequences. It does. And there there's one thing that I do not want to ruin. And you knew what I'm talking about, Oh, I know, being with the amazing camera work that you're just like, holy crap, that is really cool.

7:28 How did they do that? Yeah, there's just there's some just a mind blowing uh cinematography in this in this film. Absolutely love it. Love the fact, you know, for those of you that are out there and you're like, how much further can this story go like, you know, the High Table has condemned him, he's excommunicado, he's you know, he's being hunted down. It still has somewhere to go, and it has somewhere smart to go, right as it? Well absolutely yeah, yeah. What started off as a simple revenge story in John Wick chapter one has really evolved into this world building story which is just fantastic. And these characters like the Harbager, like Clancy Clancy Brown's Harbager character, Um, the Mark, the Marquis h even even Ian McShane, you know his his his character Winston. I just I want more of this uh this world. I want more of this story. It's funny that you mentioned that, because when you're watching this, all the characters are so strong that you want to know their backstory. You want to know where their story is going. And even so much is involved with what else is going on in that environment, that world that you want to explore that right, absolutely, you want to explore it. Uh So I'll just ask you, Dave. I think it's a simple. I think we already know where what you're gonna say, but uh, let's do this see it, stream it or skip it with the camera work with the stunt work. See it, absolutely, see it. I don't care what what

9:01 tickles your fancy. If it's the the fight sequences, if it's the story, if it's the cinematography, if it's the music. Can we do you want to talk real quick? You know, I know we're we're gonna jump backwards here, but the music by Tyler Bates and Joel J. Richard, Yeah, you have to talk about that because it goes so well with the action sequences of what you're seeing on screen that it just has that beat, that that music that just blends so well with action sequences. It was perfect. It does the the the uh, the the orchestral sound that we get throughout the whole movie. And then added that you added some some just a killer soundtrack by some some just awesome bands. Yeah, see it for that, see it, you know, see it for see it for Kanu.

See it now, see it in a theater with with great sound, with with great picture quality. I can't wait to see it again. Dave, I agree, same well, that'll about do it for us. Uh.
